This is an awsome well maintained American Peoples encyclopedia set, 1955 edition Set consists of Volume 1-20 and 10 yearbooks 1956-1965, with events from 1955-1964 (30 books in all) ~~~ Truly history in print These are elegant burgundy hardcover bound volumes and year books, with intricate symbol and edge design on the front covers and gold lettering on the spine. Each volume has 2 beautiful picture prints on the inside front and in back of it, and all are different and unique, showing historic events in art. There are 3 different world designs in the yearbooks, but front and back have the same in each. 56-62 has tannish brown, 62 has green, and 63-65 has blueThe encyclopedia volumes feature B&W as well as color photos, the yearbooks seem to only have B&W, but has colored page edges for some specific sections. ~~~ This set has been well maitained and has the original owners family name “The D.M.Wood Family” printed in gold lettering on the #1 volume. Allthough it shows its age through slight wear on the hard covers, I could not find any torn pages, there is no moldy/musty odor, just good old fashioned old book odor. The overall condition is very good.
